This group started in 2006 for people (men, women & youth) who wanted to learn how to knit and/or crochet. They have grown since then into making afghans for our church’s graduating seniors, prayer shawls, baby afghans for our church’s new additions, dishrags and potholders to be put in the food room baskets at Christmas, bookmarks for the first graders when they get their Bibles, and also to be put in the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. They make baby items to be given to Lifeline in Millersburg and Morningstar Pregnancy Center. They also make hats and scarves for donation to Neighborhood Center, Bethesda Mission, Kepler Home and
several other organizations. Yarn is provided.
This ministry takes the summer off from meetings. They meet every other Tuesday from September through May at the House on the Hill from 2 to 4 p.m. Anyone who is interested in learning how to crochet or knit, or if you already know how and would like to come join us, is welcome. For more information please call Helen Koppenhaver 692-3871 or the church office at 896-8092.
