HUMC seeks to offer opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth for anyone interested.  We offer Sunday School Classes and LifeGroups throughout the week.

The New Beginning class meets at 9:00 in the Conference Room (Rooms 107/108).  Studies vary & are based on group interest.  If you would like to know the current study or get information regarding attending, please contact Rick Stence (717) 413-9170 |

The Decompression Class meets at 9 AM in Room 104.  ANYONE who feels the need to "decompress" and meet with other Christians for fellowship and encouragement is welcome. We live such hectic lives that sometimes we lose focus on what is really important. We look forward to the relationships we already have to be strengthened, and for new relationships to develop. Studies vary & are based on group interest.  If you would like to know the current study or get information regarding attending, please contact Tricia Schultz (717) 896-2587 |

This Class meets at 10:15 AM in Room 103.  Studies vary & are based on group interest.  If you would like to know the current study or get information regarding attending, please contact Deb Frantz (717) 362-3407 |

Grief Share class is a group that helps each other face challenges and move toward rebuilding their lives. Meetings are Seasonal (January - March) and take place Sunday evenings at 6pm in the lower level of the church (HUB).

Are you retired?  Are you middle aged?  Are you sitting at home each day looking for a way to connect with other adults?  This ministry may be for you. The Bedrock Gang meets for Christian Fellowship with fun activities and programs.  We meet regularly every Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM at the Youth Center, unless otherwise notified in the bulletin announcements or monthly newsletter.  Call Carol Albert (717) 896-3354 for more information.

This group started in 2006 for people (men, women & youth) who wanted to learn how to knit and/or crochet.  Since then, the group has grown, making afghans for our church’s graduating seniors, prayer shawls, baby afghans for our church’s new additions, dish rags and potholders to be put in the food room baskets at Christmas, bookmarks for the first graders when they get their Bibles, and to be put in the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.  They make baby items to be given to Lifeline in Millersburg and Morningstar Pregnancy Center.  They also make hats and scarves for donation to Neighborhood Center, Bethesda Mission, and several other organizations.  Yarn is provided.  Experienced or inexperienced, all are welcome.  For more information, please contact Helen Koppenhaver at 717-571-4956 or Wanda Pottiger at 717-896-3552.

Meeting Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm in the Multi-purpose room, Tricia Schultz leads a women’s group for real life women, with real life stories to share.  This is a time to discuss the highs and lows in your Christian faith as we support and encourage one another.   For more information please contact Tricia Schultz (717) 896-2587 |

Disciple Bible Studies

Every fall season, the pastors offer DISCIPLE classes.  Disciple is a wonderful opportunity to get familiar with the entire Bible, learn more about your faith, & develop relationships with brothers & sisters in Christ.  Disciple classes include personal Bible reading & study of the participant, the work of scholars, & dynamic group discussion to aid in understanding the Bible.  Contact Pastor Brendan at or Pastor Su at to inquire about upcoming Disciple opportunities.

Life Groups

Everyone has the opportunity to become part of a small group.  LifeGroups are a group of 4-10 people who come together (in person or online) to experience spiritual growth through fellowship, prayer, accountability, worship, & Bible study.  The studies vary & are according to group interest.  If you would like to be connected with a LifeGroup, or to inquire about starting your own LifeGroup with a group of friends, please contact Pastor Su at

This group enjoys conversation, support, prayer, Bible study and brunch during our time together.  We would love to have you join us! Please contact Joanne Konick-McMahan at or Dawn Sariano at if you have questions or would like to join.  Reach Out meets the second and fourth Saturday of each month at 10:00 am in the Church’s conference room.

We Care is a ministry that visits those who are not able to be out-and-about. Church family and others in our community are responding very graciously to our visits! We are looking for people who would enjoy visiting people for encouragement, conversation and reminiscing.

Contact Jacquie Cooper (717-896-3036) or JoAnne Konick McMahan (610-209-2929) if you would like to be involved.
